Grampians in Autumn

The Grampians is one of our favourite places, and although we have been many times it has always been in spring. This time we had organised to take a long weekend and follow the last of the warm weather before winter set in. On the 30-3-2014 The Grampians looked nice and warm with temperatures in the high 20’s. I didn’t know what to expect, especially after the dry conditions at The Mellvile Caves the week before, but as usual The Grampians were green and lush. It was dry, but The Grampians has a good annual rainfall and doesn’t seem to dry out like the country further north. The thing that surprised me most was the number of lizards I saw.
