On the 23-3-2014 we visited the Melville Caves. The area is famous for gold, so we met a few people prospecting with their metal detectors. Unfortunately we saw holes wherever we went, even in the middle of the paths we were walking on. I think it’s a great pity some people can’t even fill in the holes they make and I would like to see prospecting banned in most parks because of this. The campsite is free, and unfortunately there was a group of rednecks with chainsaw, generator and loud music there. They didn’t leave their campsite for two days. I’m still glad we visited, I haven’t been there before and it was an interesting place.
